The editorial platform The Master’s Clock is the continuation of the exhibition cycle no no desire desire, programmed by Thomas Conchou at the Maison Populaire in Montreuil throughout 2020 and 2021 with a focus on queer artistic practices. The platform is now operated by the Centre d’art contemporain de la Ferme du Buisson.

The Master’s Clock is dedicated to promoting contemporary research that actively engages with the politics of time through the commission, translation and publication of texts by authors, artists, researchers and poets. The title of the platform is a reference to the work Afrofuturism - a sonic manifesto (2022) by the artist Fallon Mayanja, in which one can hear author Rasheedah Phillips propose a variation on Audre Lorde’s concept of the ‘master’s tools’ in the form of the ‘master’s clock’.
